Dataset Details

Oakville offers drop-in programs for various activities like swimming, skating, fitness, sports (pickleball, badminton, basketball, volleyball etc.), culture (woodworking, ceramics etc.) and much more. The programs can be registered online or by phone to fit your schedule. The types of programs in this dataset include Senior Services, Recreational Skating, Recreational Swimming, Drop-in Fitness Classes, Youth Centre Programs, Drop-in Sports, etc.

This dataset includes over 200 recreation and culture drop-in programs. The data fields of each service include program title, type, ages, fee and program description.

Statistics

This dataset includes 200 recreation and culture drop-in programs offered by the Town of Oakville. The largest category of services is Senior Services (56 programs, 28.14% of all), followed by Recreational Skating and Recreational Swimming. There are also dozens of programs in Drop-in Fitness Classes, Youth Centre Programs, and Drop-in Sports. Though there are 59 programs available to seniors of age 50+, most of other programs are available to almost all age groups.
